Thought it might be interesting to update everyone on this week’s intricacies. After arriving home from Lilly’s soccer game the house was smoldering hot. I went to crank on the air conditioning and come to find it is completely shot.
After the first sleepless night we realized it wasn’t possible stay here. This was later confirmed when Tracy tried to cook dinner. The family has relocated to a hotel downtown. It is close to work and school, so we are still around town.
The air conditioning needs a new cord as well as a new filter. We have to wait until next week for those parts to arrive. They are guessing it will be Tuesday. The following Wednesday they will be in the house, hopefully fixing it.
I have never noticed how integral the air conditioning is to our function. I guess this is one luxury we have been so use to. We have especially become increasingly thankful for our house as we all have been jam packed in the hotel room. The kids miss the yard and neighbor friends, Tracy her kitchen, and I miss the garage. We are trudging through this and hope to see home soon. My words of wisdom is to check your air conditioning before time runs out.
